PFAS FREE STRAWS

Timber and Wood straws are 100%
PFAS Free Straws

Some paper straws and plant based straws have been a better option to replace plastic straws but the straws can go soggy and collapse. To help resist that soggy outcome, harmful polyfluoroalkyl chemicals (PFAS) coat the outer layers of some plant based and paper straws. They should no longer be classed as biodegradable straws or compostable straws.

There are plans in some EU states to eliminate PFAS chemicals by 2030, however, California in the USA have legislation coming into effect on 01 January 2023 to ban PFAS chemicals on drinking straws.
